FIU Music Festival: FIU Jazz All-Stars

FIU jazz alumni return to campus for a homecoming concert celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts. FIU Music Festival: FIU Jazz All-Stars takes place Friday, October 16 at the FIU Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center. Presented as part of the FIU Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts 2026-27 season, the concert features six alumni performing with the FIU Studio Jazz Band.
The lineup includes trumpeter Jean Caze, guitarist Aaron Lebos, pianist Kemuel Roig, bassist Kai Sanchez, saxophonist Dave Fernandez and drummer Rodolfo Zuniga. Their collective work spans performance, composition, bandleading, recording and education, with credits across more than 30 albums and recording projects as leaders and co-leaders.
Together, the featured artists reflect the reach of FIU’s jazz program, with careers that include Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning projects, major competition honors and performances or recordings with artists such as Herbie Hancock, Aretha Franklin, Gloria Estefan, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito D’Rivera and Randy Brecker.
