FIU Music Festival: Jazz Big Band

The FIU Jazz Big Band opens FIU Music Festival 2025 with a program that blends classic swing, modern compositions and original works under the direction of Dr. Aldo Salvent. Joining the ensemble are vocalist Ashley Pezzotti, noted for her collaborations with Wynton Marsalis and Arturo Sandoval, and tenor saxophonist Rich Perry, a featured soloist of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra with a career spanning more than four decades.
The performance takes place Saturday, October 25 at the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim Performing Arts Center.
