Forever Yiddish 3: Songs and Stories from the Shtetl

Yiddish song and storytelling take center stage in an evening celebrating memory, music and cultural heritage.

Vocalist Yitzhak Fried performs traditional melodies and narratives passed down through generations, evoking the spirit of the shtetl and the enduring beauty of Yiddish expression. Raised in postwar Austria, Fried brings authenticity and emotional depth to each performance, joined by acclaimed pianist Alan Mason. Together, they trace a journey through joy, sorrow and humor, honoring a living tradition that continues to inspire.

Forever Yiddish 3: Songs and Stories from the Shtetl takes place Thursday, January 8 at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center. Proceeds benefit Leket Israel, the leading food rescue organization in Israel.
