Freedom Family Day: Madrid-Miami Celebrando la Hispanidad

Live music, dance, theater, fashion and family activities connect Miami and Madrid during a Hispanic Heritage Month celebration at Miami Dade College’s Freedom Tower. Held Sunday, October 4, Freedom Family Day centers on a live international exchange with Madrid’s Cabalgata de la Hispanidad 2026, allowing audiences in both cities to share portions of the day’s programming in real time.

Presented by the Museum of Art and Design at MDC, the event explores Hispanic cultural traditions and the longstanding connections between Spain, Miami and the United States through performances and interactive experiences for families. The program also places those ties within the context of America’s 250th anniversary.

Admission is free, with complimentary parking available in MDC Parking Lot 1 near the Freedom Tower.
