House, disco and techno stretch across decades in a late-night set from German DJ and label head Gerd Janson at Jolene Sound Room. Taking place Saturday, August 22, the lineup pairs Janson’s wide-ranging selections with a back-to-back opening set from Will Buck and Adam at the Door.

Janson is a longtime fixture in Germany’s electronic music scene and co-runs the influential label Running Back, known for releasing house, disco and left-field club music. His DJ style is equally broad, moving between new releases, overlooked records and established dance-floor staples with a crate-digger’s ear for unexpected connections. His career has included residencies and recurring appearances at clubs such as Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson and Berlin’s Panorama Bar, along with compilation projects including the Musik for Autobahns series.

The event takes place at Jolene Sound Room, the intimate basement club inside downtown Miami’s Julia & Henry building. Inspired by midcentury recording studios and 1970s lounge design, the venue centers its programming on sound-focused nightlife and local DJ culture. Doors open at 10 p.m., and admission is limited to guests ages 21 and older.
