From: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM
The resonant voice of the cello returns to the Aventura Concert Series with Venezuelan cellist Germán Marcano performing selections from the Bach Cello Suites.
Marcano, whose career spans classical and Latin American repertoire, received his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Surrey and earned the “Premier Prix” at the Guildhall School of Music in London—the first cellist to receive that honor. He served as principal cello of Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra and has premiered works by leading Latin American composers, blending folk influences with classical tradition. Based in South Florida, he teaches at Kalos Music and Art School and performs with the Florida Grand Opera and Atlantic Classical Orchestra.
Germán Marcano takes the stage on Saturday, March 12, 2026 at Kalos Music and Art School as part of the 2025–2026 Aventura Concert Series.
