Groovers Only: Classmatic + Alves

Groove-heavy tech house drives a late-night pairing of Brazilian DJs Classmatic and Alves at Floyd Miami. Taking place Sunday, August 23, the 21-and-over event brings together two producers whose sets favor rolling basslines, crisp percussion and Latin-influenced club energy.

Classmatic gained wider attention with “Toma Dale,” his 2022 collaboration with Nfasis on Hot Creations, followed by releases on labels including Solid Grooves, Cuttin’ Headz, Hottrax, elrow Music and Revival New York. His productions have helped establish him within the international tech-house circuit.

Brazil-born, Miami-based DJ and producer Alves approaches tech house through a similarly groove-forward lens, blending Latin influences with contemporary underground sounds. His releases have drawn support from artists including Alok, Beltran, Marco Carola and Vintage Culture.
