Groovin' on a Sunday Afternoon: JECC and Friends

Young musicians from across South Florida take the stage at Miami Beach Botanical Garden for an afternoon of jazz, percussion and ensemble performance. Groovin’ on a Sunday Afternoon takes place Sunday, September 20, with performances by the JECC Jazz Bootcamp Ensemble, South Florida Center for Percussive Arts and New World School for the Arts.

The free, family-friendly concert highlights organizations and schools that support youth development through the arts while advancing the mission of the Jazz Education Community Coalition. The event is organized by JECC founder Nicole Yarling, a South Florida violinist, vocalist, composer and educator whose work includes mentoring young musicians and developing community-based jazz programs.
