Haggus Mincecore Metal Takeover
Mar 15, 2026
From: 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM
A full evening of grindcore and extreme metal takes over Churchill’s Pub in Little Haiti with a lineup led by Oakland’s Haggus. The show begins at 5 p.m. and runs late, spotlighting bands rooted in mincecore and death grind.
Formed in 2014, Haggus is widely regarded as a modern torchbearer of mincecore, the subgenre pioneered by Agathocles. The band fuses crust-punk intensity with the raw abrasion of old-school goregrind, delivering a high-speed sound often described as “mincegore.” Beyond their prolific DIY output and masked live performances, Haggus is also known for centering anti-fascist and anti-sexist principles in their work, aligning their music with broader social justice and pro-feminist values. They have toured extensively throughout the U.S., Europe and Latin America.
The bill also features regional and touring acts including Impulsive Discordance, Los Reyes Bong Death, Hacksaw, Spludge from Tampa, Amnio, Crippling Debt and Lethal Injection, representing a range of extreme metal styles.
