Illuminarts Presents Roomful of Teeth
Oct 02, 2026
From: 06:00 PM to 09:00 PM
Grammy Award-winning vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth pairs experimental vocal music with immersive animation in a performance at The Bass in Miami Beach. Presented in part by IlluminArts on Friday, October 2, the program centers on Earths to Come, a multimedia work by composer inti figgis-vizueta and animator Rose Bond inspired by an eight-line poem by Emily Dickinson.
Spatialized sound, Roomful of Teeth’s extended vocal palette and Bond’s hand-drawn moving images shape the work’s exploration of intimacy, distance and connection. The program also includes music by Caroline Shaw, Leilehua Lanzilotti, Peter S. Shin and Angélica Negrón.
Founded in Miami in 2013, IlluminArts creates site-specific classical music programs in collaboration with museums, galleries and cultural organizations, connecting musical performance with visual art, history and place. The organization was founded by mezzo-soprano Amanda Crider, who now serves as executive director of Roomful of Teeth.
Admission is complimentary with RSVP, with limited capacity available on a first-come, first-served basis.
