In Her Own Light: Opening Reception

Expressive portraiture centers the feminine figure in a solo exhibition by artist Susana Falconi presented by Gato Gordo Gallery. The opening reception for In Her Own Light takes place Tuesday, October 6 at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay, introducing a selection of paintings that explore strength, vulnerability, beauty and introspection.

The exhibition includes works from Falconi’s Feminas & Flowers series, in which female subjects are rendered through an expressive approach that emphasizes mood and interiority as much as outward appearance. Together, the paintings invite viewers to consider the emotional presence and individuality of each figure.
