Independence Day Community Conversation

Civic reflection, patriotic readings and neighborhood conversation mark Independence Day in Coconut Grove. Independence Day Community Conversation: Voices of Freedom takes place Saturday, July 4 at The Woman’s Club of Coconut Grove.

Held in recognition of the nation’s 250th anniversary, the gathering invites residents, families and neighbors to reflect on democratic values and the meaning of freedom. The short program includes citizen reflections, readings from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and traditional songs.

The event is designed as a community conversation rather than a formal ceremony, with time for attendees to gather, talk and connect over refreshments.
