Starting: 8:00 PM
Cuban vocalist Isaac Delgado brings his Afro-Caribbean salsa sound to The Fillmore Miami Beach for a concert with musician, producer and composer Alain Pérez. The performance takes place Saturday, September 19.
Delgado emerged as one of modern Cuban salsa’s leading voices after his work with N.G. La Banda, the influential Cuban dance group associated with the 1992 album En La Calle and the hit “Necesito Una Amiga.” His solo career has blended salsa, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, pop and jazz, with later work incorporating electronic and more experimental elements.
The evening also features Alain Pérez, a Cuban musician whose career spans Latin, Afro-Cuban, jazz and popular music. Pérez began working professionally with Chucho Valdés and Irakere before later collaborating with artists including Paco de Lucía and Jerry González. In 2022, he won the Latin Grammy Award for Best Traditional Tropical Album.
