Jazz at the Garden of Humanity: Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Visual art and live Afro-Cuban jazz come together for a Hispanic Heritage Month program on Ten North Group’s Opa-locka campus. Presented Friday, October 16, the evening begins at The ARC with Deictic Articulations: The Art of Purvis Young before moving outdoors to the Garden of Humanity for a concert by the Fragoso Ensemble.

The music program runs from 8 to 10 p.m. and centers on Afro-jazz and Cuban jazz, pairing the ensemble’s performance with the event’s broader focus on culture, community and shared heritage.

Presented by Ten North Group, the program begins with the art experience at 7 p.m. at The ARC, followed by live music in the Garden of Humanity.
