Oct 09, 2026
Doors open: 7:00 PM | Show starts: 8:00 PM
Venezuelan American violinist Daniela Padrón brings classical technique and Latin American folk traditions together in an intimate trio performance at the WDNA Jazz Gallery. Presented Friday, October 9 as part of WDNA’s Jazz Encounters series, the concert features Padrón with Omar Herreras on guitar and cuatro and Javier Espinoza on bass.
Born in Caracas and based in Miami since 2012, Padrón won the 2025 Latin Grammy for Best Folk Album for Joropango, her collaboration with the folk ensemble Kerreke. Her discography also includes Bach to Venezuela, +58, SOLA and Ella, a collaboration with Cuban pianist Glenda Del E.
Padrón has appeared in concerts and recordings with artists including Willie Colón, Aymée Nuviola, Soledad Bravo and Frank Quintero, developing a repertoire that moves between classical influences and the musical traditions of Venezuela and the broader Latin American region.
