Jazz Encounters: Mushy Widmaier takes place on Friday, June 13 at WDNA’s Jazz Gallery in Miami. Renowned for weaving Haiti’s rich musical heritage into contemporary jazz, Widmaier leads a program that reflects decades of exploration as a composer, performer and cultural advocate. His approach often transcends standard arrangements, reimagining melodies and harmonic structures in ways that are both unexpected and emotionally resonant.
