Jewish & Queer Resilience: Lessons from the Holocaust
Apr 30, 2026
Starting: 6:30 PM
Holocaust history and contemporary LGBTQ+ perspectives come into focus through a panel examining identity, resilience and the role of storytelling in shaping collective memory. Taking place Thursday, April 30 at the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU, the discussion brings together community organizations to explore how historical experiences can inform present-day advocacy. The program highlights connections between Jewish and queer histories while considering how these narratives continue to influence conversations around rights and representation.
Presented in collaboration with Keshet and the Holocaust Memorial Miami Beach, the panel centers on the ways personal and collective stories can be used to honor lived experiences and support ongoing social engagement. Speakers will address themes of survival, cultural memory and the importance of preserving these histories across generations.
Admission is free with RSVP, and light refreshments will be available during the event.
