May 01, 2026
From: 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM
A live concert honors the music and legacy of French-Armenian singer-songwriter Charles Aznavour through a multilingual performance led by pianist José Negroni. Taking place Friday, May 1 at the Koubek Center, the program features vocalist Fidel Osorio interpreting Aznavour’s repertoire alongside a live ensemble. The evening offers a contemporary tribute to one of the most influential figures in international chanson.
Three-time Latin Grammy-winning pianist and composer José Negroni leads the performance, joined by Puerto Rican vocalist Fidel Osorio, whose style draws from classic crooners such as Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. Known for his versatility and fluency in multiple languages, Osorio performs selections that reflect the emotional range and storytelling central to Aznavour’s work.
The concert celebrates the centennial of Aznavour’s birth, revisiting songs that helped define his global career across French, English, Spanish and Italian audiences. Through live instrumentation and vocal interpretation, the program highlights themes of romance, nostalgia and cultural connection.
This performance is part of Miami-Dade County Auditorium’s Away From Home Series, an initiative that presents off-site programming during the venue’s renovation period. Hosted at partner locations across South Florida, the series continues to offer access to music, dance and theater performances in alternative cultural spaces.
