Juneteenth Run for Education
Jun 20, 2026
From: 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM
A community 5K through Liberty City marks Juneteenth with a focus on education, wellness and support for historically Black neighborhoods. The 4th Annual Juneteenth Run for Education takes place Saturday, June 20, beginning and ending at Charles Hadley Park. Hosted by The Running Edge 305 in partnership with Mino Learning Lab, the fundraiser supports educational resources, professional development and youth-serving organizations in Miami’s priority areas.
The route begins at Charles Hadley Park, travels through Historic Liberty Square and returns to the park. Open to runners and walkers of varying experience levels, the event combines physical activity with a broader mission to promote healthy habits, address food insecurity and strengthen community connections through wellness.
The morning begins with check-in, warmups and opening remarks before the 5K start, followed by a cooldown and community celebration with music, food, games and vendors. The program also includes a State of Black Education discussion before closing remarks.
