Lecture: Saint Exupéry and the Americas

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s years in the United States and the origins of The Little Prince come into focus during an evening lecture at the Coral Gables Museum. Presented Wednesday, October 7 by Alliance Française Miami Metro, Saint-Exupéry and the Americas examines the French writer and aviator’s wartime connection to the United States, where he worked on the book before its first publication in French and English in 1943.

Thierry Chaunu, president of the American Society of Le Souvenir Français, will discuss this chapter of Saint-Exupéry’s life along with the continuing cultural legacy of The Little Prince. The presentation is followed by a Q&A session.

The evening concludes with a cocktail reception featuring wine and a buffet by La Croquantine.
