Local Views at the Art Station: Art, Senses & Well-Being
Aug 01, 2026
From: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Breathing exercises, sound experiments and color-based artmaking introduce families to creative tools for emotional awareness and sensory regulation. The workshop takes place Saturday, August 1 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and is presented with Create Kids Inc.
Families will rotate through three interactive stations inspired by works at the museum. Breathe Better connects playful breathing techniques and bubble-inspired art with Jesús Rafael Soto’s Penetrable BBL Blue. Music & Mood explores rhythm, emotion and expressive mark-making through Basquiat: Figures, Signs, Symbols, while Color & Light draws on Carlos Cruz-Diez’s Chromosaturation for immersive light and color activities.
The program is designed for children of all ages and their caregivers, with no prior art experience required. Participation is free with museum admission, which is $18 for adults and free for PAMM members.
