Ever dreamed of running on an airport runway? The 4th annual MIA Runway 5K offers an opportunity to do just that. Join thousands of participants and spectators on Saturday, October 19, at Miami International Airport for an unforgettable race experience.
This year's event will take place on runway 8L-26R, with the starting line located at the 25,000-square-foot American Airlines Maintenance hangar. Runners can upgrade to the MIA First Class Ticket for priority access and special perks to enhance their race day experience.
Event Details:
- Time: Race starts at 7:00 a.m.
- Location: American Airlines Maintenance Hangar, Miami International Airport
- Registration includes: Bib number, wristband and event t-shirt
Spectators can also attend the event by purchasing a wristband, which grants access to the hangar and designated viewing areas.
Important Information:
- Packet Pickup: Friday, October 18 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, October 19 from 6 a.m. to 7:25 a.m.; Location - 4640 NW 36th St., Bldg: 890
- Airport Security: All participants must pick up their own packets with a valid government ID.
- Parking: Limited parking is available near the hangar. Carpooling and rideshare services are encouraged. Remote parking areas will have transportation shuttles.
- Race Day: Arrive early to avoid delays. The start line will close at 6:10 a.m., and late arrivals may not be allowed to participate.
