Miami Vice Strings
Aug 10, 2025
Starting: 6:00 PM
A contemporary string ensemble brings high-energy classical performances to Miami Beach's iconic waterfront. The group transforms familiar compositions into dynamic arrangements that bridge traditional and modern musical styles.
Miami Vice Strings performs Sunday, August 10 at 6:00 p.m. in Lummus Park as part of the Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series. The free weekly concert series is presented by the Ocean Drive Association and takes place on the lawn between 14th Street and 14th Place, with indoor backup at The Betsy Hotel if weather requires.
Founded by cellist Stephanie Jaimes, Miami Vice Strings features classically-trained musicians who specialize in contemporary string arrangements. Jaimes, who has performed with established recording artists, leads the ensemble in reimagining classical repertoire with heightened energy and modern sensibilities. The group primarily serves the South Florida wedding market but adapts their performance style for public concerts and community events.
Guests are invited to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the concert on the lawn. In case of rain, the performance will move indoors to The Betsy Hotel. The Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series is supported by The City of Miami Beach, the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Ocean Drive Association. All concerts are free and open to the public.
