Mini-Me Science: Into the Wild – Florida Forests

Young children can investigate Florida’s forest habitats through nature walks, storytelling and hands-on activities modeled on the work of field biologists. The outdoor program takes place Sunday, September 20 at Ron Ehmann Park and is presented by the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in collaboration with Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces.

Designed for children ages 3 to 6 and their families, the session introduces observation and exploration skills while helping participants learn about the plants and animals that live in Florida forests. Mindfulness activities, snacks and water are also included.

Admission is $70 for one child and two adults, $40 for each additional child and $10 for each additional adult. The program lasts approximately 2.5 hours and takes place at Ron Ehmann Park, not at Frost Science.
