MMW: Get Closer

A house-focused Miami Music Week showcase lands in an intimate downtown sound room.

MMW: Get Closer takes place Tuesday, March 24 at Jolene Sound Room Miami. The 21+ event is named after Dutch DJ and producer Luuk van Dijk’s Get Closer radio project, a platform dedicated to spotlighting forward-thinking house music and emerging talent.

Headlining the night, Amsterdam’s Luuk van Dijk is known for groove-driven house rooted in classic influences yet shaped for modern dance floors. With releases on labels including Hot Creations, Solid Grooves and Eastenderz, and as founder of Dark Side of the Sun, van Dijk has become a fixture on international club lineups. The evening also features Elliot Schooling, Liam Palmer, Laidlaw, Natalia Roth and Simone De Kunovich, reflecting the project’s mix of established and rising selectors.

The event unfolds inside Jolene Sound Room, a basement venue located within the historic Julia & Henry building at Flagler Street and Second Avenue in downtown Miami. Designed as an intimate listening space inspired by midcentury recording studios and 1970s leisure culture, the room emphasizes sound quality and close connection between artist and audience.

Doors open at 10 p.m. This is a 21+ event.
