Oct 30, 2026
From: 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Video screenings and music accompany the release of a tabloid exploring memory, imagined utopias and invented realities. Richard Vergez’s NO THING launches Friday, October 30 at Sweat Records in Little Haiti, presented with EXILE Projects. The gathering features music by Vergez and friends, with free copies of the publication available to pick up.
Inspired by the spirit of Fluxus, NO THING is the latest release in EXILE’s Zine Machine program, which distributes free publications by local artists through repurposed newspaper vending machines across Miami. EXILE Projects is a Miami-based nonprofit dedicated to experimental artists’ publications and independent print culture.
A Cuban American visual and sound artist based in South Florida, Vergez works across handmade collage, mixed media and audiovisual composition. His imagery combines human and technological elements to explore contemporary identity. A former member of the Brooklyn Collage Collective, he has contributed collage illustrations to The New York Times, The Guardian and The Atlantic.
