Noche de Arte: Atelier Lustig
Nov 02, 2026
weekly on Monday - Through Nov 23, 2026
Starting: 6:00 PM
Hand embroidery, fiber and collage give photographs a textured second life in Marine Fonteyne’s Reclaiming Memories. The exhibition is the focus of November’s Noche de Arte residency at Gallery 100 in the InterContinental Miami in Downtown Miami.
Born in Brazil with Belgian roots, Fonteyne prints photographs on archival paper, silk and fabric, then incorporates stitching and other materials to explore memory. Presented by collaboARTive, Noche de Arte is a free Monday-evening art program featuring a different resident artist each month.
November’s announced sessions include:
- November 2: Opening Reception. Meet Fonteyne and view the exhibition.
- November 9: Embroidering Memories Workshop. A hands-on introduction to the artist’s techniques for combining photography and embroidery. No experience is required.
- November 16: Embroidering Memories Workshop. Explore stitching techniques inspired by Fonteyne’s Sisterhood and Rescue series. Beginners and returning participants are welcome.
- November 23: Artist Interview with Iggy Font. The collaboARTive co-founder speaks with Fonteyne about memory, photography and her more than 20 years of practice, with questions from the audience.
All sessions are free and open to the public.
