North Beach Social: Diego Melgar

Experience a multimedia journey through Miami’s diverse music scene as guitarist and composer Diego Melgar celebrates over a decade of creative collaboration.

North Beach Social: Diego Melgar takes place Thursday, October 16 at the Miami Beach Bandshell. The evening features Melgar’s ensemble Swamp Lily, joined by an eclectic group of past and present collaborators in a performance that blends jazz, R\&B, gospel, electronic and ambient music with choreography and immersive visuals.

Guest performers include vocalist and composer Dani Amaro, bassist Marty Quinn, sound designer and producer Sohn Jamal, and the Refuge Church Miami Praise Team, led by Briana Upton with musical direction by Torrance Scott. Choreography by Pioneer Winter, Nicole Pedraza and Junior Domingos, along with projected visuals by artists Nika Dotsenko and Diago Leon, transform the Bandshell into a fully immersive environment.

The concert reimagines key moments from Melgar’s musical path through Miami’s many venues and creative communities.

Admission is free. North Beach Social takes place on the third Thursday of each month at the Bandshell, highlighting Miami artists celebrating milestones, new releases and ambitious creative projects. The series is presented by Rhythm Foundation.
