Novalima
May 07, 2026
From: 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Afro-Peruvian rhythms and electronic production come together in a live performance by Novalima at ZeyZey Miami, blending traditional sounds with contemporary global influences. The concert takes place Thursday, May 7, with the Lima-based collective presenting music that bridges centuries-old cultural traditions and modern club culture.
Founded by four musicians and producers, Novalima has built an international following for its fusion of Afro-Peruvian percussion, dub, house and Latin beats. Their work draws from the musical heritage of Peru’s African diaspora, reinterpreted through electronic instrumentation and collaborative performances with live musicians. The group has performed at major festivals including WOMAD and the Montreal Jazz Festival and received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Album.
Set within ZeyZey Miami’s open-air venue, the evening extends into a late-night program with a curated bar and on-site dining. Tacos María, located at the venue, serves grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos alongside a selection of seasonal cocktails, natural wines and non-alcoholic options. The 18+ event runs from evening into the early morning, offering a mix of live music and DJ-driven energy in a communal outdoor setting.
