“Off Menu?!” Comic Book Club #13

Short-form comics, indie art and comedy writing come together for an afternoon gathering at Churchill’s Pub in Little Haiti. “Off Menu?!” Comic Book Club #13 takes place Saturday, July 25. The session focuses on colorful, absurd and funny short-form comics, with a panel featuring cartoonist Beetle Moses and Miami comedian Oriel Rodriguez.

Beetle Moses is known for concise, offbeat comics that combine visual punchlines with a deadpan sense of humor. Rodriguez brings a stand-up comedy perspective to the conversation, drawing on his experience with joke writing and Miami’s local comedy scene.

The event also includes indie comic books, community conversation and a vendor and artist lineup to be announced. Churchill’s Pub provides a fitting setting for the gathering, given its long history as a Little Haiti hub for independent music, art and subculture.
