Opa-Locka Historic City Hall Art Opening
Dec 05, 2025
From: 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM
Visual art and live jazz come together in a historic setting as Opa-locka’s landmark City Hall opens new exhibitions for Miami Art Week.
The Opa-locka Historic City Hall Art Opening, part of the Art of Transformation 2025 program, showcases work drawn from the Ten North Collection through two exhibitions: Loan Me Your Dreams: African and African Diaspora Art from the Ten North Collection and The Art of Carnaval: Not All Works of Art Hang on a Wall. Together, the shows highlight a range of perspectives shaped by African and African Diaspora creativity.
Throughout the evening, jazz musician Simon Mogul performs three sets between 9 and 11:45 p.m., adding a musical counterpart to the exhibitions. The event takes place on Friday, December 5 at Opa-locka Historic City Hall, with free parking and free admission for all exhibitions and performances.
