PAMM Film Focus: On the Line

A decade-spanning documentary follows three New York boxers as they pursue professional titles while confronting the physical and personal costs of the sport. The screening takes place Thursday, August 6 at Pérez Art Museum Miami, followed by a conversation with director Francesco Saviano. Before the film, visitors can explore the galleries and tour Get in the Game: Sports, Art, Culture, an exhibition examining the connections among athletics, art and society.

Filmed over 10 years, On the Line traces the careers of Will “Power” Rosinsky, Danny “The Miracle Man” Jacobs and Patrick “All” Day from the amateur circuit through the professional ranks. Rather than focusing on championship glamour and large purses, the 2025 documentary examines the demands, risks and sacrifices involved in pursuing success in professional boxing.

Saviano is a New York-based filmmaker, producer and cinematographer whose work has screened at festivals including the Tribeca Film Festival and Vancouver International Film Festival. Museum admission is free every Thursday after 5 p.m.
