Three women recite artist Zoë Buckman’s poem about sexual assault, shame and survival in a three-channel video installation at Pérez Art Museum Miami. On view November 5 through May 23, 2027, Zoë Buckman: Show Me Your Bruises, Then features Buckman alongside actors Cush Jumbo and Sienna Miller, each recounting the poem in full.
The work examines how stigma can shape survivors’ experiences and how patterns of abuse may persist across generations. The installation is accompanied by an antique textile embroidered with an excerpt from the poem, connecting Buckman’s use of moving image with her broader practice in textiles and sculpture.
A British multidisciplinary artist based in New York, Buckman works across video, embroidery, sculpture and other media, with recurring interests in feminism, mortality and equality.
