Poetry City: Ciudad Poesía

Miami’s poetic spirit takes center stage at the Miami Book Fair with a live performance that traces the evolution of the city’s literary voice through words, rhythm and music.

Held at The Art Lab on Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, the evening unites poets from across generations for an immersive showcase blending spoken word and live jazz. Co-hosted by The Biscayne Poet, Oscar Fuentes, and Nicole Tallman, poetry ambassador for the Miami-Dade County Mayor’s Office, the performance honors Miami’s creative legacy while celebrating the voices shaping its future.

Featured participants include documentarian Aaron Glickman, Miami-Dade County Poet Laureate Caridad Moro-Gronlier, and local poets Arsimmer McCoy and Trey Rhone. The event also serves as the grand finale of the upcoming Poetry City documentary, a tribute to Miami’s enduring literary heartbeat.

Poetry City: Ciudad Poesía takes place Thursday, November 20, at The Art Lab, Building 1, First Floor, Room 101, at Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus.
