Aug 01, 2026
From: 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Spoken word, open mic performance and community gathering come together at Churchill’s Pub for a poetry pop-up centered on resilience. Pop Up Poetry MIA: Resilience takes place Saturday, August 1 in Little Haiti, bringing featured poets and audience participation to the long-running neighborhood music venue. The bi-monthly series uses poetry, music and storytelling to explore Miami’s creative voices.
The program features 10 poets, an open mic segment, music, dancing and social activities designed to connect performers and attendees. The format welcomes both experienced spoken word artists and first-time listeners, with space for personal stories, live performance and informal community exchange.
Set at Churchill’s Pub, the event adds a literary focus to a venue known for independent music, comedy and alternative arts programming. Happy hour offerings will be available during the evening.
