Apr 03, 2026
From: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
A student-led drag showcase exploring the evolution of queer expression takes the stage at Florida International University’s GC Ballrooms. Taking place Friday, April 3, the fifth annual production by FIU’s Pride Student Union is themed Queer History Rewind, highlighting key moments, influences and local stories that have shaped LGBTQ+ culture in South Florida and beyond.
The program features performances by Miami-based drag artists, including Athena Dion and members of the Dion Dynasty, alongside additional performers announced in advance of the event. Through a mix of lip-sync, dance and theatrical presentation, the show reflects both contemporary drag artistry and its historical roots, with an emphasis on visibility, storytelling and community.
Open to LGBTQ+ audiences and allies, the event is organized as part of FIU’s ongoing campus programming focused on inclusion and cultural awareness. Admission varies by attendee group, with free entry for FIU students and ticketed options for faculty, staff and the general public.
