Rumble in the Jungle at Churchill's

Breakbeat, jungle and bass-heavy club sounds return to Churchill’s Pub in Little Haiti with an open-decks night from Rumble in the Jungle. The Friday, September 18 event features GRUE5OME, SUCIA!, Teewhy and a special club set by Topher The Alien. The 18-and-over gathering is free for guests 21 and older, with $10 admission for ages 18 to 20.

Rumble in the Jungle is a Miami-based underground crew associated with bass, jungle, drum and bass, breaks, UK garage and footwork. Founded by Topher The Alien, DB Cooper and DJ Tamsom, the party has become part of Miami’s newer bass-music circuit, with events built around local selectors, high-energy dance-floor sets and an open-decks format that invites guests to bring records or USBs.

Topher The Alien is one of Rumble in the Jungle’s founding members, while SUCIA! has appeared on Miami bass and breaks lineups, including Rumble-affiliated events. GRUE5OME is connected to Miami’s club underground through sets spanning rave funk, ghetto tech, acid house, Latin club, dembow, jungle, dancehall and footwork. Teewhy appears on the Rumble in the Jungle Vol. 1 compilation, which documents Miami producers working across drum and bass, UKG, baile, bass, breaks, club, electro and jungle.
