Salsaholics: Black & White Affair

Black-and-white attire sets the theme for an evening of salsa, bachata, live percussion and dance performances at DanceArts Miami. The event takes place Saturday, August 22, beginning with an all-levels On2 salsa workshop led by Stefano Agrelo of Flavor Factory at 9 p.m. Presented by Miami Salsa Events, the night continues with separate salsa and bachata rooms through 2 a.m.

Scheduled performances include Angie and Aidan, Ximena Gutierrez, Inner Motion Team and Salsa Ninja Dance Academy. DJ Mike Calderon leads the salsa room, joined by Eduard Cano on congas and Sasha Rodriguez on timbales, while Pantea Hearts and The Party People host the bachata room.

Advance tickets are $20 through August 21 and $25 at the door. A bar is available onsite and parking is complimentary.
