Satellite: Mind Enterprises

Italo disco, synth-pop and tropical club energy come to Gramps Getaway on Key Biscayne for an III Points Satellite DJ set. Satellite: Mind Enterprises takes place Thursday, October 15, presented by III Points and Gramps as part of the festival’s citywide Satellite programming. The 21-and-over event brings the Mind Enterprises sound to a waterfront setting known for casual outdoor gatherings and DJ-led nights.

Mind Enterprises is the project of Turin-born artist Andrea Tirone, joined in recent years by creative partner Roberto Conigliaro. The project is closely associated with the revival of Italo disco, blending 1970s funk, 1980s Italian synth-pop, Eurodance and club rhythms into a playful, retro-futurist sound. Mind Enterprises has released music through Because Music and reached a wider audience after Kungs sampled “Idol” on the hit track “Never Going Home.” The duo’s recent rise has also been fueled by a distinctive visual style and viral performances built around Italian pop nostalgia and dance-floor humor.

Satellite programming runs across Miami during the week surrounding III Points, connecting festival audiences with local venues, artists, collectives and after-hours events.
