Save the Panther Day
This event has passed.
Discover the vital role of Florida's state animal through an afternoon of art, education and advocacy. Save the Panther Day takes place on Saturday, March 15 at the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum FIU.
The afternoon program combines family-friendly activities with meaningful conservation education. From noon to 3 p.m., visitors can participate in guided tours of the Path of the Panther exhibition, engage in interactive art projects and test their wildlife knowledge through a themed scavenger hunt.
The event culminates in a panel discussion at 4 p.m., moderated by Dr. Mireya Mayor and featuring Native American educator Betty Osceola and conservation photographer Luca Martinez. This conversation explores critical aspects of wildlife conservation and environmental protection, followed by a reception where attendees can engage with speakers and fellow conservation advocates.
This free event is sponsored by the Green Family Foundation and the FIU Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs.
