Lend a helping hand to keep Miami's underwater world trash-free at the Miami Waterkeeper's Scuba Clean Up on Saturday, August 24 or Saturday, September 28. Join fellow volunteers for a morning of diving and removing marine debris from the vibrant coral reefs of Key Biscayne.
This event is for experienced divers only. Participants must have an open-water dive certification, recent diving experience, and feel comfortable navigating underwater and monitoring air levels. Divers under 18 require parental accompaniment or written permission.
Clean-ups depart from Diver's Paradise at 10:00 a.m. Registration starts at 9:00 a.m. Divers will embark on two dives, with a goal of removing debris and helping to preserve the marine environment. The clean-up concludes around 2:00 p.m.
A fee of $95 covers two dives, including tanks and weights. Rental gear is available for an additional fee, with a full gear package (regulator, BCD, mask, fins, snorkel) highly recommended. All divers are guided by a dive professional during the event.
Space is limited, so register in advance, selecting the August 24 or September 28 Miami Waterkeeper Scuba Dive Clean Up on Diver's Paradise trip calendar.
