Seasons of the Soul

Seasons of the Soul takes place Saturday, March 7 at Sanctuary of the Arts in Coral Gables. Presented by Fine Arts of Miami, this concert brings together works by Robert Schumann, George Gershwin and Astor Piazzolla in a performance designed to explore music as a reflection of shifting inner landscapes.

Schumann’s Romanticism anchors the program with expressive, intimate writing that emphasizes nuance and emotional depth. Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue follows, blending classical structure with the syncopated rhythms and urban character of early 20th-century America. The program concludes with selections from Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, a reimagining of seasonal change through the lens of tango, marked by intensity, nostalgia and rhythmic drive.
