Sensory Friendly Fourth of July
Jul 04, 2025
From: 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Families looking for a more accommodating way to enjoy Independence Day can take part in an evening designed with sensory accessibility in mind. This inclusive celebration provides a welcoming environment for individuals with autism and sensory-related needs, featuring outdoor activities, a designated quiet indoor area and a clear view of the Biltmore’s fireworks display.
Sensory Friendly Fourth of July will be held on Friday, July 4, at Ruth Bryan Owen Waterway Park in Coral Gables. Guests can enjoy a variety of sensory-friendly outdoor games—including bubbles, crafts, light-up toys and sports—alongside access to an indoor quiet space for those who may need a break. The park’s location offers an excellent vantage point for the 9:00 p.m. fireworks show, all within a smaller, more controlled setting.
Admission is $25 per vehicle and includes on-site parking. Guests are welcome to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages. Space is limited. For registration assistance or questions, contact Catie at playforall@coralgables.com.
