Sessa + Leo Middea
May 20, 2026
From: 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Two contemporary voices from Brazil’s evolving singer-songwriter scene share the bill for a free, open-air evening at ZeyZey Miami.
Sessa, known for his work with São Paulo psych-funk band Garotas Suecas and collaborations with New York guitarist Yonatan Gat, brings the intimate minimalism of his 2019 debut Grandeza to the stage. Singing in Portuguese, he pairs sensual, introspective lyrics with spare arrangements that draw from Brazil’s songwriting lineage while embracing a restrained, almost austere aesthetic. Often performing with backing vocals and Afro-Brazilian percussion, Sessa’s live sets explore themes of the body, spirituality and quiet intensity through subtle textures and rhythm.
Joining him is Leo Middea, a Brazilian singer-songwriter whose career bridges Brazil and Europe. With more than 10 million Spotify streams and performances in 16 countries, Middea has released five albums, including Vicentina and Gente, recorded between Paris, Amsterdam and Rio. In 2023, he became the first Brazilian finalist at Portugal’s Festival da Canção, further cementing his international presence.
ZeyZey Miami provides the open-air setting, featuring a curated beverage program of seasonal cocktails, natural wines and nonalcoholic options. On-site dining is powered by Tacos María, serving grass-fed, seed-oil-free tacos made with unapologetic flavor and zero shortcuts. Admission is free.
