Son Gitano

Flamenco, salsa and bolero traditions come together in a free outdoor concert by Son Gitano at Lummus Park in Miami Beach. The performance takes place Sunday, September 20, as part of the weekly Ocean Drive Promenade Music Series presented by the Ocean Drive Association.

Son Gitano draws from musical traditions associated with Spain and Latin America, moving between the rhythmic drive of salsa, the romantic phrasing of boleros and the expressive intensity of flamenco. The ensemble’s repertoire highlights the variety of styles found across the Spanish-speaking world.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnics. In case of rain, the performance moves indoors to The Betsy Hotel.
