SoundScape Cinema Series: Hamilton
May 13, 2026
Starting: 8:00 PM
A filmed presentation of the Broadway musical Hamilton screens outdoors at SoundScape Park as part of the City of Miami Beach’s programming in honor of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Taking place Wednesday, May 13, the event is included in the ongoing SoundScape Cinema Series.
Directed by Thomas Kail and released in 2020, the production captures the original stage performance of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s award-winning musical, which tells the story of Alexander Hamilton through a blend of hip-hop, R&B and traditional musical theater. The work is known for its reinterpretation of early American history through a contemporary lens and a diverse cast.
Now in its 15th season, the SoundScape Cinema Series offers free weekly screenings in a 2.5-acre park adjacent to the New World Center. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating on the lawn and enjoy the film on the New World Center’s large-scale outdoor projection wall. Admission is free and no tickets are required.
