South Florida Youth Symphony: Strings of Spring
Mar 15, 2026
Starting: 4:00 PM
Emerging young musicians from across South Florida take the stage for a spring showcase highlighting classical and popular repertoire. South Florida Symphony: Strings of Spring takes place Sunday, March 15 at Sanctuary of the Arts in Coral Gables. This concert brings together two developing string ensembles from the South Florida Youth Symphony for an afternoon performance that reflects their training and artistic growth.
Titled “Strings of Spring,” the program features a range of compositions spanning traditional classical works to familiar contemporary selections. The combined ensembles offer audiences an opportunity to hear students at different stages of development performing in a collaborative setting.
Founded in 1964 by Maestro Carmen Nappo and now led by Marjorie Hahn, the South Florida Youth Symphony provides orchestral training and performance opportunities for students throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. In addition to concerts, the organization supports concerto performances, student conducting experiences, touring and community engagement initiatives designed to foster discipline, teamwork and musical expression.
