SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical

Musical numbers from SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical come to the Coral Gables Museum in a family-friendly presentation by Area Stage’s Inspire Theatre Project. The performance takes place Saturday, June 13, featuring a neurodiverse cast in selections from Area Stage’s sold-out production. Designed for audiences of all ages, the program brings together live music, movement and theatrical performance in an accessible midday showcase.

Presented through Area Stage Conservatory’s Inspire Theatre Project, the event highlights the cast’s stage presence, creativity and ensemble work through songs from one of Broadway’s most recognizable contemporary musicals. The presentation offers families, children and theatergoers a chance to experience the energy of the production in a shorter museum setting.

Founded in 2014 by Executive Director Maria Banda-Rodaz, the Inspire Theatre Project provides adaptive performing arts education for students ages five through adulthood across Miami-Dade County. The program includes training in voice, dance, acting and musical theater while emphasizing collaboration, confidence-building and inclusive creative expression.
