Spooky Saturday Ritual: Halloween Costume Contest
Oct 31, 2026
From: 9:00 AM to Noon
Traditional Ashtanga practice gives way to a Halloween costume contest during a themed edition of Miami Life Center’s Saturday Ritual. Spooky Saturday Ritual takes place Saturday, October 31 at Miami Yoga Garage, a converted warehouse between Wynwood and Overtown.
The morning begins at 9 a.m. with a led Full Primary class, following Ashtanga’s established sequence of postures with traditional Sanskrit counting and an emphasis on coordinating breath and movement. The class moves at a steady, dynamic pace with minimal instruction.
At 11 a.m., participants can show off their costumes in a contest decided by audience vote, with a prize for the winner. Candy and treats accompany the gathering, and costumes are encouraged.
Miami Life Center was co-founded by Ashtanga teachers Kino MacGregor and Tim Feldmann. Based at Miami Yoga Garage, the center offers daily classes, workshops and visiting-teacher programs.
