City Theatre Miami marks 30 years of short-form theater with a one-night festival combining new plays, dinner and live music. Summer Shorts takes place Saturday, June 13 at Westchester Cultural Arts Center, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Hosted by actor Stephen Trovillion, the evening features ten fully produced short plays presented across two programs, including three HOMEGROWN premieres by Miami writers alongside works from around the country.
The evening schedule includes:
- 6 p.m. — Doors open
- 7 p.m. — Program A
- 8 p.m. — Dinner intermission with live music
- 9 p.m. — Program B
- 10 p.m. — Program ends
Each ticket includes cabaret-style seating, a welcome drink, charcuterie and sangria at the table, a Spanish-inspired supper served between programs and live music throughout the evening. A cash bar will be available. VIP seating includes premium sight lines and name recognition in the printed program, with general admission and early bird options also available. Cocktail attire is encouraged.
